One of the best sources would be a BBB backed company that can provide you with many Wholesale product lists, and that is also certified by eBay.

I don't know if you have a Michael's (arts and crafts store) but if you do they are always running specials on silk flowers and have 50% off coupons in their adds that can save you a lot of money.
Reply:The Williamsburg Pottery, which is actually nearer the town of Toano, Virginia has ridiculously cheap cheap cheap prices on silk and dried flowers and all accessories. One example of their great prices that comes readily to mind: I bought huge silk calla lilies there, about 3 feet long with the stems..for $0.59 each! The ones at Michaels are not as nice and cost $2.49!
Reply:If you live near DallasTx you can get the nicest top quality for great prices at several places on Harry Hines. There are so many discount places there that you can spend several days looking!

Where is the best place to buy wholesale vases and flowers?

Hi, Where can I purchase wholesale at the best price. Does anyone know where big lots, value city, or other bargain stores buy their products? Thanks in advance.

Where is the best place to buy wholesale vases and flowers?
There's no one place. Everybody has their own buyers out shopping for deals. Start locally. Every big city has a landscaping wholesaler with Chinese or Mexican/South American products. You can also look for niche products from the American Southwest and Europe. They are higher priced, but can be more appealing, depending on your market.

Flowers: Grow your own starters, if possible. Buying flowers is never cheap, at any level. Or, find a local greenhouse looking for consignees.

I need to aquire a state tax ID number to purchase flowers wholesale. I am not a business. What do I do?

I do wedding work from my home as a hobby only and I need to be able to purchase fresh flowers from wholesalers. I need a state tax ID number to purchase from wholesalers.

I need to aquire a state tax ID number to purchase flowers wholesale. I am not a business. What do I do?
Just go and apply for a tax id number that simple. Come up with a name for your hobby company its that simple. You can even file taxes at the end of the year in conjunction with your normal taxes. A company can show a loss for the first 5 years so this can come in handy such as buying that new computer or what ever that you might use in your business, it can be used as a write off on your taxes so it is pretty much free. there are many ways to get tax cuts with having your own tax id number. :%26lt;)
Reply:I would contact a friend or associate with a buisness license and buy it through them. Offer an incentive.
Reply:Call the IRS and see what they say...cant hurt! I just got off the phone with them and got my tax ID number in a matter of 10 mins.

Reply:You didn't say where you are, but many cities have a dock or warehouse district where there are wholesale vendors. In Chicago, I bought flowers there for my youngest son's wedding because I also wanted to save. I also ordered a big bunch of stargazer lilies from the local farmer's market the week before (because it is held once a week).
Reply:Sams and Costco have the best prices if you are doing the arrangements yourself. If you are paying a professional to do the arrangements, they can probably get them at better rates. I've done arrangements for several banquets and Sams and Costco have the best prices.

I did one 4 foot high by about 4 feet wide buffet arrangement and about a dozen table arrangements that were probably 18" high. All of them were in simple tin buckets (so as not to distract from the flowers themselves) with ribbon tied onto the bucket. Sounds tacky, but they were absolutely beautiful. Purple, blue-purple, and white flowers with greenery in the silvery tin colored tall skinny buckets. Total cost was $250 for the plants, ribbons, and buckets. You are just limited to what they have on hand.

Where do u buy wholesale cut flowers?

i'm doing a fundraiser and i need wholesale carnations. where would i purchase them? i'm in chicago, but i'm sure anyone can help if u know of a national chain store. thanx!

Where do u buy wholesale cut flowers?
Call the major Hotels and ask whom they use. I'm sure they buy in bulk too
Reply:1. Local wholesale florists would be the best source but you may need a tax exempt #.

2. Ask around some local florist shops to barter carnations (or very discounted carnations) for a nice size ad in the program or signage.
Reply:Sam's Club has great prices -- closely approaching wholesale -- on cut flowers. The flowers are of high quality, too. Other big box membership stores probably have similar prices.

Another option you might try is to talk with a florist that you deal with frequently, explaining that you need lots of carnations for a fundraiser. The florist might agree to order them for you from her supplier and sell them to you at cost. Especially if you list the florist as a supporter in any promotional material about your fundraiser.

Good luck.
Reply:Most the major grocery stores have floral departments now. They sell cut flowers cheaper than the florists can buy them from the wholesale house. I used to be a professional florist and buy from the wholesalers. Now that I only do any occasional wedding or party, I go to the grocery store and buy my flowers. They are fresher and cost less. If I need something special, I ask them to order it. If I tell the floral manager a week or so in advance, she can usually get it for me.

How do I buy wholesale flowers to resale in Bend Oregon?

There is a lot of wholesale nurseries in the valley by woodburn, salem, etc. Even if you do not have a licence, if you buy in quantity they will give you a good discount. After all, they have to sell the stuff because it is time oriented products. You should have at least a 1 ton box van %26amp; you could not only haul flowers %26amp; small trees, but you can pick up a lot of vegetables from the russian farmers who live in the woodburn area. They sell their produce very cheap %26amp; I think you could do well with it at a stand in bend.

Does anyone know of a good place that sales flowers at wholesale in the San Jose, CA area?

Im looking for a good place that sales flowers at wholesale in the South Bay...The place i used to go to closed down.. can anyone give me some help

Does anyone know of a good place that sales flowers at wholesale in the San Jose, CA area?
Usually the only way to get flowers wholesale is to be at the flower auctions. I would start speaking to florists, if they can't help you, I would see if any of them will cut you a deal to order flowers through them if you are ordering large amounts.

How are the flowers at wholesale places different from the ones at Trader Joe's?

I'd like to buy bulk flowers and make arrangements myself. I've never visited a wholesale floral place before, but when I went to Trader Joe's (or some other supermarkets), they have cheap flowers as well ($10 for a dozen small roses). I was wondering, do they have similar prices at wholesale florals or are the prices similar? Thanks.

How are the flowers at wholesale places different from the ones at Trader Joe's?
Trader Joe is just a middle man he buys from wholesalers also, he just buys so much he gets a break on the price then he makes the $$, if you buy enough the wholesaler should give you a break also, you may need a resale license.
Reply:well i dont speak english really good and so i just wane chat and not answer ur questions so mail me at ------------------------charmedpinkcats@...
Reply:Wholesale florists are going to provide a better bulk selection and will most likely be fresher. Super markets usually get them after the wholesaler, more shipping and waiting time. Why not cut the middle man. There are also excellent web sites with great deals that will send the flowers right to your door, fast, fresh and cheaper. Don't forget to process them after. Alittle sugar in warm water after cutting is good for almost all flowers. (No milky stems).
Reply:Zoe has good advice. Wholesalers get fresh flowers...when they start to turn they "unload them" to high volume retail places at near cost....to keep them longer would mean complete loss of investment.

However, you ordinairly have to operate a business to get access to the wholesale places. That means your local permeits and state resale tax number before they will let you in the door.

Keep in mind you are dealing with a live commoditiy with limited "shelf life". Wholesaler get the cuttings in less than 24 hours. Retailers get theirs in up to 72 hours and what they don't sell goes into the garbage.
Reply:Trader Joe's are the freshest I have ever found. Daffodils last 2 weeks from there.

Where do Arizona florists get their wholesale flowers from?

I use to live in California and they had a Flower District where florists get fresh flowers everyday. I was wondering if Arizona had something like that...I live in the Phoenix area.

Where do Arizona florists get their wholesale flowers from?
If it is avail. in Cal. that is where they go. If it is exotic they may get it off the plane. Larger quantities are trucked in from the growers.

It has been awhile since I went to the flea markets like the one E of Mesa but they may have what you are looking for.
Reply:phoenix used to have great flower crops on Baseline road. Think they are pretty much gone now. I'm a florist in Tucson, most of my flowers come out of California

Where can I find wholesale flowers in the LA or Orange County, CA area?

Where can I buy wholesale flowers in Canada? Preferably Ontario?

I am getting married next fall and have a friend taking a flower arranging course. She has offered to do my arrangements, but we need to find flowers. I would like to find them as cheap as possible (obviously) but don't want to pay our the ears for shipping from the States....Thoughts?

Where can I buy wholesale flowers in Canada? Preferably Ontario?
Check with the Ontario growers co-op.

Here is their website.

As a general rule in order to buy wholesale you do need to have a PST exemption number that can only be obtained by being a registered business.

Another option is asking arranging to buy in bulk from an independent florist. They are generally more flexible with their terms and you should be able to find one that will arrange a special price based upon the quantity of goods you are wanting to buy,.

Where do i get wholesale flowers for a wedding in Orange county?
You should try BloomsbytheBox.com. They have a nice selection of beautiful flowers for inexpensive prices. They even have some examples of how to set your flowers up - very helpful. I used them for my wedding and just loved them. They also have really nice customer service, which is a plus. They even have a 5% discount for first time users! Definitely give them a try! You won't be disappointed.
Reply:Try the link below.

The page says they've got wholesale roses and "a wide selection of bulk flowers."

Calla Lillies are listed but it doesn't say anything about bulk or wholesale availability.

There's also an 800 # to call, a FAQ page and wedding tips. They can probably answer all of your questions.

Congratulations and all the best ~
Reply:I had great success getting my flowers from online wholesalers that do sell to the public. You may not have as broad a selection as you would if you had ordered earlier - but they have great roses and other flowers too. You wont have time for a sample order but I got good products from both of these companies.

check out - 2G Roses at http://www.freshroses.com/ and Obies floral at http://www.obiesfloral.com/ .

They get sent overnight mail and they talk to you about when your event is so that the flowers have enough time to open. Mine arrived on a Thursday, I arranged them on Friday and the wedding was Saturday. They need the extra time to re-hydrate and finish opening. Good Luck and Congratulations!!!

You need to find a business name for the Tax Number. $10.00 for a business name usually. Use to be $25.00 for the Tax Permit....
Reply:The only reason you need a license is to collect the tax when the flowers are sold. Tell the wholesale house you want to pay cash.
Reply:Greetings,

I have baught wholesale flowers from www.nationalflowermart.com before and they were very friendly, and helpful. They ship nationawide for free! and seem to be very reputable as I was referred to them online, and can help you out with whatever flowers you need. They carry allot of diffrent kinds. We got roses, for our wedding which lasted 8 days! They were unbeleivable. Well I hope this helps good luck!
Reply:yes, you do need to get a business name, and a TAX id number. Even on some wholesale companies online, they require a tax ID...so go to the County for that!
Reply:Do you have any friends in the flower business? If so, ask them if you can get a deal through them.

I bought all my flowers for my wedding at the local craft store. I know if you are pressed for time then this won't help. Hobby Lobby has their silk flowers on sale for half off several times a year. Right now the single stems are on half off until May 5. Bushes are half also. I used a whole bunch of bushes/garlands for my flowers. I cut them and arranged them how I wanted them.

Also other places like JoAnn's and Michaels have sale like this. I know if you have a Garden Ridge then that is an excellent place too.
