this are the old fashion pitchers and bowls which were used in old times for bathing purposes. i am doing a baby shower and thought having them as centerpieces with dry flowers in them who be a nice idea.
Does anyone know where i can find ceramic bowls with pitchers in wholesale prices?
try ebay
Reply:They are called EWERS and LAVABOS.
Reply:I'm not sure they are being actively made anymore, except perhaps as antique reproductions. Have you tried going to some of the less expensive antique stores? Maybe where you live there's no such critter, but around here we have enough dealers in old stuff that some of them have some pretty reasonable prices for things that were pretty common in olden times. Those washbowl sets are still very much around, and shouldn't be too hard to find. It may also be worthwhile to sort your way through a web search on the term "antique reproductions" and see what pops up. For all I know, they are common as Victorian decor items and reproduced constantly.
Reply:I tried looking this up in google... there are 3 MILLION 7 HUNDRED and 70 THOUSAND listing for glass and ceramic bowls...
It may take a bit of time to look, but I can't imagine you won't find what you are looking for.
Reply:That is a great idea! Try import stores or peir one or maybe go to a cermic shop and see if they have one made.
Good luck.
Reply:I DONT KNOW WHAT AREA YOU LIVE IN BUT IF YOU HAVE A TAX ID # YOU CAN ORDER THRU NORMAN SMITH ENTERPRISES IN PAULSBORO, NJ BUT REMEMBER SHIPPING COSTDS ON CERAMIC PRODUCTS ARE NOT CHEAP. DO SOME RESEARCH ON LINE BECAUSE THERE ARE WHOLESALE TO THE PUBLIC PLACES THAT WILL SELL TO YOU.
Reply:Try antique shops, or even better prices at the junk stores like Sally's Army.
